5 Tips For Keeping Rabbits On a Budget

Hi readers, most people don't really have a big budget for their rabbits so I thought this would be a perfect post.

Tip no.1
Litter train them so you won't use as much bedding. Also buy bedding in bulk if you have the space.

Tip no.2
Use a hay rack so the bunnies won't go to the toilet on the hay!

Tip no.3
Don't overfeed dry food(this will also stop them getting over weight which will cause health issues).

Tip no.4
Buy a good quality second hand hutch or build one yourself. My recommended size: 1.8m(L) by 50cm(W) by 50cm(H) DOUBLE story for a pair of rabbits.

Tip no.5
Put a small amount of money aside for vets bills each month. This will be good for emergencies as well as routine checks.

Pets At Home Haul Jan 2017} Guinea Pigs R Cute

Daily rabbit routine- Jan 2017

Hi readers, I have got a routine established with the bunnies now! It was quite easy but it is very similar to my daily guinea pig routine.

Morning
Around 09:00am I go out and un-cover them and let them out into their enclosure. Then I give them a small amount of pellets and some veggies.

Afternoon
Around 13:30 I go out and check they have food and water still and give them some pea flakes or other treats.

Evening
As it gets darker earlier in the winter I go out around 16:00 to give them the rest of their pellets, shut them into their hutch and cover them up for the night.


This is only a very rough routine as it can vary from day to day,

I am changing them off muesli currently)
